shakespeare.com – also known as The Shakespeare Web – has returned to its original home, after an absence of several years.
It is undergoing a sea change, into something rich and strange.
Come back in a few weeks, months, years to see what surfaces.
There is now a blog here, the site framework has been redesigned, and the functioning of the archived original site restored for the most part – except for the ability to log in and provide new content, which isn’t coming back there. It’s frozen.
In honor of Shakespeare’s birthday 23 April 2009, I put up an article on Pericles published back in my alter ego’s academic days that I thought might attract more interest than it did: Pericles and the Jacobean Family Romance of Union.
A poor gift perhaps – but the best offering I can manage right now.
